BIO // Hoci sa vo vydavateľstve snažíme veci robiť čo najviac do it yourself, dosiaľ sme ešte ani raz nevydávali niečo, čo vzniklo úplne kompletne v rukách našich ľudí. Interpret sa postaral o hudbu, oslovený grafik o obal a v celku sa to celé nahralo na päťdesiat čierno-čiernych kaziet rozličných značiek, ktoré sa našli v domácnostiach.

Obete sekty je projekt, ktorý si Tomáš Ferko, okolitému svetu známy skôr ako Teapot, nahral sám pred niekoľkými rokmi. “Vznikol absolútnou stratou kontroly, bez akejkoľvek ambície ho vydať, bez autocenzúry. Dlho som sám ani nevedel, čo to je, a až časom to pre mňa samotného nabralo zmysel.”

Šestnásť minút a šestnásť sekúnd noisovo špinavej hudby a punkového postoju, citujúcej Ginsberga, Dalajlámu, prešovský nočný autobus, ale aj ignorovanie školskej dochádzky, vychádza siedmeho júla o siedmej hodine a siedmej minúte. A áno, je to štvrtok.

Ak patríte ku generácii, ktorá vyrastala pri rádiu s prstom na tlačítku record čakajúc na svoju obľúbenú pesničku, prípadne ste si na kazety rovno nahrávali vlastnú produkciu, release Obete sekty je aj pre vás. Okrem kvalitného digital downloadu totiž táto shitgaze-noiseová strata sebakontroly vyšla aj v závoji šumu päťdesiatich čierno-čiernych kaziet, ktoré boli pozbierané v rozličných domácnostiach.

Na B-stranách bol ponechaný pôvodný materiál. Môže sa tak stať, že narazíte na hitparádu z roku 1993, mamine recepty na koláč, Best of Bravo Hits, nejakú kvalitnú DIY produkciu, alebo iné poklady minulosti.

IMPLODES - black earth

Black Earth is a haunted and magical place. There's an old barn there with many rooms and a silo that's filled with dead insects. Outside there's a big wood pile filled with spider webs that probably has black widows living in it. There are mysterious plants growing everywhere. At night, when the air is crisp and clean, you can lie on your back by the fire and look up at the stars and listen to the animals and insects making their music. A trip to Black Earth could change you forever and you may want to never leave.

Implodes has been to Black Earth and they made an album in its honor, dark and murky music for that dark and murky place. Cavernous guitar tones and dense melodies are present everywhere. Hidden beneath the layers of reverb, delay and distortion are deceptively simple and beautiful songs about experiences that have been obscured for many years that suddenly become profoundly important. The cobwebs just needed to be pushed aside a bit.

eastern daze

This is a selection of tracks by musicians encountered during explorations of the Eastern European sonic underground from May until October 2010. From Bucharest to Gdansk, from Košice to Prague, this is a reflection of region’s current sounds.

The compilation is released as a free digital release and a CD in 1000 copies on the Polish label Audiotong. It is licensed under Creative Commons.
